Söderling Eyes Paris Final

Published tisdag 2 juni 2009 kl 16.44
Enjoying his quarter final victory: Robin Söderling

Swedish tennis player Robin Söderling continues to amaze at the French Open in Paris. By beating tenth-seeded Russian Nikolay Davydenko in three straight sets on Tuesday, Söderling reached the semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time ever. The 24 year old will now play Fernando Gonzalez on Friday.

The Swede, who is currently ranked 23rd in the world, had sensationally beat the sky-high favorite Rafael Nadal from Spain on Sunday. In the round of the last four Söderling will meet Chilean Fernando Gonzalez who won against Andy Murray from Great Britain.
