The Dutch Look To the North

Published tisdag 21 juli 2009 kl 14.41
The spectacular nature attracts many Europeans to Dalarna

Four years ago the municipalities in Dalarna decided to join forces and hire staff to exclusively work with trying to get people to move there. Over the last couple of years, their focus has turned to the Dutch, so much so, they have even employed a Dutch woman to be a "Dutch pilot" to guide her countrymen into the Swedish reality.

Next, Region Dalarna will be concentrating on expanding their Dutch efforts to also try to attract Germans and British people to move to the region.

Radio Sweden's Ulla Engberg spoke to Ingemar Kyhlberg, Business Development Co-ordinator in Malung, in the western region of Dalarna and Helene Persson Grafman at Region Dalarna.
