Ulla joined Radio Sweden in May 2009. Before that, she lived and worked in London and the UK, where she was the UK correspondent for a major Swedish newspaper.
Born in Sweden to Danish and Dutch parents, she left the country in 1997 for an 11 year sojourn in the Balkans and the UK.
Stuff she missed from Sweden when she was away? Swimming in lakes, snow that stays on the ground for more than a few hours - and the light summer nights. What she had forgotten all about? How long it is actually dark in the winter.
