World Cup Qualifier

Zlatan Might Play despite Aching Knee

Published torsdag 3 september 2009 kl 17.18

Star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic might participate in Sweden’s crucial world cup qualifier against Hungary on Saturday despite a knee injury. At a press conference in Budapest Ibrahimovic told reporters he was able to complete Thursday’s training almost without any pain and he was confident to be able to play on Saturday.

Sweden needs to gain as much points as possible in the final three qualifiers to maintain the chance of qualifying for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa. But front-runners Denmark and runners-up Portugal seem almost out of reach in Sweden’s qualification group.
