Sweden Pushes Towards South Africa

Sweden are still in with a chance of qualifying to next summer's football World Cup, thanks to a last-second goal by striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic against rivals Hungary.

With the score 1 - 1 going into injury time it looked like Sweden's hopes of making it to South Africa were dashed, but then put the ball in the back of the next with just 3 seconds left to play.

Sweden can now still make it to the World Cup finals 2010, but need to win all three of their next matches to guarantee a ticket. Zlatan's 2 - 1 goal now puts them in a much better position. He told reporters, " It probably wasn't the most beautiful goal I've ever scored, but it was an important one".

Sweden hasn't missed a major football championship since 1998.
