Bandwidth Supplier Challenges Court
Swedish internet supplier Black Internet has decided to appeal a Stockholm court’s decision that forced it to stop supplying bandwidth to file-sharing site The Pirate Bay. Faced with upwards of a 70,000 USD fine, Black Internet initially complied with the court’s ruling—but they will now challenge the ruling.
“This is the first time in Sweden that an operator has been ordered to stop delivering internet to someone. We want to know if it’s correct to do so,” Black Internet CEO Victor Möller told Swedish Radio News.
