Appeal Against ABBA-Björn's Studio

Sweden's Environmental Protection Agency has appealed against a decision to allow ABBA-legend Björn Ulvaeus to build a studio and accommodation on an island next to Gotland off the Swedish East Coast.

The Environment Protection Agency claims that the decision undermines the protection of public access to the coastline.

Earlier, the environmental court had made exemptions for Ulvaeus' studio plans, because it was not supposed to a private place to live and because the shape of the planned building and its position was deemed to fit well into the area.

Now the environmental court of appeal will look into the case.
