Vaccination or Transfer

The Swedish Post Office's plans to distribute the vaccine

Swedish Radio News reports that public employees in one Swedish municipality have been told that if they don’t vaccinate themselves against the swine flu they will be transferred to new jobs.

The H1N1 vaccine has arrived in Sweden and the national vaccination program begins in the coming week. The authorities in the Mark municipality in southwestern Sweden say they want to make sure that all local public employees are vaccinated, especially those working with the elderly or people who are sick.

No one will be forced to be vaccinated against their will, and the senior nursing official in Mark says the transfers would be temporary.
