3000 Soldiers at Victoria's Wedding
Up to 3000 Swedish soldiers may be on duty when the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria is married to Daniel Westling next year. According to the Life Guards Regiment, which is planning the resources for the event, there is a great interest to participate within the Armed Forces.
“When the present King and Queen were married in 1976, there were 2300 Swedish soldiers present. We are counting on being able to make the same amount available this time around,” said the military tor for the wedding, Richard Beck-Friis Häll, to Swedish newspaper Blekinge Läns Tidning.
