Sex Surfing on the Increase

Blue line = At least once, Red line = every week

Almost one in five Swedes admits to looking for sexual content online. According to a new survey by the World Internet Institute, that makes porno surfing one of the ten fastest growing online activities.

And the biggest increase is among women.

Some 17 percent of Swedes say they have looked on the Internet for sexual content. That compares to 3 percent in 2003. But the institute says the true figure is probably much higher, as many don’t want to admit such activities in a telephone survey.

Not surprising the largest number are young men under the age of 25. But in percentage the biggest increase is among women, who have reached the same level as men in their search for eroticism online.
