Sentence in Teenage Murder Case
In one of the trials which were covered most by the Swedish media this year, Södertörn district court has announced the sentences. The two 16-year-old defendants are being sent to a young offender’s institution for one year and eight months for the killing of a 15-year-old girl in Stureby, south of Stockholm, in June this year.
Earlier, the 16-year-old boy had already been convicted for murder and his 16-year-old girlfriend had been convicted of accessory to murder. The case that was described as a love triangle murder had sparked a public debate over the psyche of youngsters in this country.
