Two Detained in Murder Case

Published måndag 4 januari 2010 kl 19.08

Swedish police are still no closer in finding the murderer of an 18 year old girl in a Gothenburg suburb last week, but have detained two teenagers for withholding evidence. Police are are refusing to say why they have been detained, but according to the tabloid GT they tracked one of the boys down through the 18 year old's missing mobile phone.

Otherwise, police have no other clues as to who may have carried out the crime, and are waiting for forensic information from a glass bottle found at the scene of the crime, which may have been used in the murder, reports news agency TT.

Meanwhile, a criminal organisation has put up an award of $7000 for information which may lead to tracking down the killer, something which has been criticised by the authorities who say the organisation is using the murder to get PR, according to TT.
