Vattenfall to Build British Wind Park
Swedish energy giant Vattenfall and British company Scottish Power have jointly won a bid to build "one of the biggest winds farms in the world" in Britain. The amount of the deal was not disclosed, but media reports said it could be about 20 billion euros.
The wind farm, which would have an energy capacity of 7,200 megawatts, will be built in the North Sea off the eastern county of East Anglia. It is supposed to deliver energy to four million households. The building process is scheduled to begin in 2015.
