Saab motor enthusiasts were out in force in 30 different locations around the world on Sunday, demonstrating their support for the beleagured company.

In the town of Trollhättan where Saab has been making cars for 60 years, locals were joined by Saab enthusiasts from abroad as they drove around in a convoy of vintage models.

Mike Palmer from a British club for Saab enthusiasts told Sveriges Radio that owners GM should listen to its customers.

" We hope that there is a little spark from our meeting here to send back to GM because it's all about that. We feel very frustrated that we don't have a more important part to play, we are the market for GM with this particular brand and they should sit and look at us . "

According to America media organisation Bloomberg News, a final decision about Saab's future and an updated bid by Dutch carmaker Spyker will be made on Monday.
