Princess Victoria, Now A Real Doll

Published onsdag 3 februari 2010 kl 17.40

A princess, a wedding—and a Barbie doll. That's the case for Sweden’s crown princess, Victoria, who is to wed her beau Daniel Westling on June 19 this year. According to news agency TT, toy company Mattel unveiled a Barbie doll of the bride-to-be on Wednesday at the world's largest toy fair in Nuremberg, Germany.

In becoming fodder for Mattel’s Barbie doll designers, Princess Victoria joins the likes of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, both of whom have been made into dolls as well.

Victoria the Barbie doll won’t be available in stores, however; the toy was made for the princess alone.
