Kalla in Fine Form Ahead of Olympics

Charlotte Kalla celebrates Friday's Freestyle win

Sweden's Charlotte Kalla warmed up for the start of next week's Winter Olympics in fine style, winning her latest World Cup 10 kilometre cross country freestyle race in Canmore, Alberta by almost ten seconds on Friday.

The Olympic Cross country skiing events begin in Vancouver on February 15th and Sweden is expected to be amongst the medals.

"This means a lot. I was pleased that I took it easy at the start and didn't become stressed that I was a little behind," Kalla told the media.

The high altitude of Canmore will be similar to that which competitors will experience in Vancouver and the Swedish camp has been training there for the past few to adjust to the conditions.
