Illegal Immigrants Delivering Papers

Published måndag 15 mars 2010 kl 11.37

News reports claim that more and more illegal immigrants and refugees paid very low wages are being used to deliver morning newspapers - as the hired workers meant to do the job pocket several full salaries.

Distributors in western Sweden last year fired 50 persons who let other people deliver the papers for them. It's not known how many of these used immigrants without permission to work in Sweden or refugees who have gone underground after their request for asylum was rejected.

The solution is to set up more manned distribution centers so that face-to-face contact can be maintained with the deliverers.
