Consumers Turn to Fair Trade

Published fredag 19 mars 2010 kl 17.46
Fair Trade products

Sales of fair trade products in Sweden have increased by 25 percent over the past year.

This comes during the economic downturn, despite the generally higher prices for goods that qualify as fair trade, which includes guarantees that workers and farmers are better paid, child labor is discouraged, and a priority for ecological cultivation.

Among the fair trade products with the greatest increase were sugar, honey, tea and bananas.
