Mobile Calls Pass Landlines

Published torsdag 3 juni 2010 kl 13.41
Mobile broadband

Swedes now make more calls from mobile phones than over landlines.

According to a new report from the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency, the number of SMS text messages here also increased last year, by a whopping 65 percent.

But the fastest growing telecom service is mobile broadband. The number of subscriptions last year rose by 50 percent.

And regular broadband is getting faster. At the end of 2009 almost 40 percent of all connections here were 10 megabits per second or faster. That compares to 27 percent the year before.
