First Swedish Win in Diamond League

Linus Thörnblad became the first Swede to win a Diamond League track and field event, taking first place in the high jump at Saturday’s meeting in New York with a personal best of 2.30 meters, ahead of Jesse Williams of the United States.

Sweden’s Christian Olsson finished second in the triple jump. The event was won by France’s Teddy Tamagho with a national record of 17.98 meters, ahead of Olsson’s 17.62.

Susanna Kallur had the best time for a European in the 100 meter hurdles, finishing 7th with a time of 12.78 seconds.
