Sweden's Emergency Phone Lines Cut

Published tisdag 28 september 2010 kl 12.55

Cable breakdowns in Stockholm have cut emergency telephone lines all over Sweden to the 112 alarm number as well as making it difficult to reach other police lines and the telephone medical advice service.

The Telia communications company says it’s not sure how many phone subscribers have been affected and that a preliminary estimate is that the services will be restored by 11 p.m. local time at the latest.
