Police Reported for Bridge Dumping

Published tisdag 28 september 2010 kl 19.47

The row over the expulsion of Roma refugees continues. Amnesty International has reported the Swedish border police to the Ombudsmen of Justice, for dumping 30 Roma of Rumanian origin by the Öresund Bridge, according to Swedish media reports.

This bridge connects Sweden and Denmark.

Amnesty International says that refugees who are expelled should be taken to their home country and should also have the opportunity to appeal against the decision.

The police's action followed an extensive operation against begging.
