Emergency Landing in Bulgaria
Authorities in Bulgaria say a Swedish airliner carrying 150 passengers has made an emergency landing after smoke was seen coming out of the left wing of the jet. Airport officials in the Black Sea town of Varna said a Boeing 737 of Scandinavian company Primera Air made an emergency landing at Varna Airport on Friday.
According to AP, the Bulgarian authorities say all passengers are safe and have been taken to the airport, while the plane is being inspected. The airport's press office says the plane was en route from Stockholm to Larnaca in Cyprus when the pilot decided to land in Varna, after being alerted that smoke was coming out of the left wing.
