Swedish Debt Collectors in Georgia

Published måndag 4 oktober 2010 kl 14.04

The Swedish model for debt-collection is becoming an export, reports Swedish television news. Over the last month, the Swedish Enforcement Agency has had personnel in Tbilisi, Georgia, to help the country strengthen its debt collection services.

The collaboration leads a three-year development project, planned to teach work methods, skills and leadership strategies around the rule of law. The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency is financing the effort.

On their website, the Swedish Enforcement Agency says that the collaboration is in line with Georgia's desire to get closer to eventually becoming an EU member.
