Fallen soldier returns to Sweden
The coffin with the Kenneth Wallin, the Swedish soldier who was killed in Afghanistan on Saturday, arrived at the military airport in Ärna, close to Stockholm on Tuesday evening.
A memorial service was held at the airport and Commander-in-chief of the Swedish armed forces, Sverker Göranson, awarded the fallen soldier. Minister of Defence Sten Tolgfors and family members were present. Representatives from the military unit in Boden, northern Sweden, where Wallin received most of his training were also there.
