Drug smuggling on the up

Published söndag 24 oktober 2010 kl 11.42

Smuggling is becoming a growing problem in Sweden, according to Swedish Radio News. Cases of smuggling have doubled over the last 6 years, with drugs, alcohol and cigarettes smuggling most common.

So far in 2010 there have been 1500 cases of narcotics illegally entering this country, that compares with just 755 cases in the whole of 2005. More and more Swedes are also ordering drugs by the internet to be delivered by post, customs authorities say, and they don't catch everything, they add.
