Sweden ready to aid Greek border police
Sweden is ready to send a team of border officials to Greece to help deal with an influx of asylum seekers. The head of Sweden's Border Police told news agency TT that they could have five people sent down to help the Greeks by the end of the week.
Greece has requested help from other EU members to patrol its borders, as large numbers of asylum seekers are trying to make their way into the country via Turkey.
The personnel sent to Greece could be police, coastguard officials or migration board representatives, depending on what help the Greeks need, Sören Clerton told TT.
