Swedish breweries and vineyards may soon be allowed to sell their produce in farm shops, according to news agency TT.

They are currently banned from selling their own wine and beer due to the tight Swedish alcohol regulations, which only permit off-licence sales in this country's alcohol sales monopoly, Systembolaget.

But a government investigator is now expected to propose that the 20 or so breweries and vineyards be allowed to sell their own goods, saying it wouldn't threaten the state monopoly.
