Soldiers under fire in Afghanistan

Published torsdag 28 oktober 2010 kl 11.11
Attacks have caused injuries and deaths in the past months - here Swedish soldiers inspect a suicide bomber's car

Swedish troops in Afghanistan were again under fire on Thursday morning, reports news agency TT.

The attack happened around forty kilometers west of Mazar-i-Sharif, the same area recently taken from insurgents that has been the scene of a number of attacks over the past month.

Swedish soldiers were patrolling together with an Afghan army force when they came under small-arms fire. The troops returned fire and called for air support.

After an hour the attack was over. No injuries have been reported
