The Swedish Migration Board reports that the number of Swedes who have found spouses and partners abroad has increased by 30 per cent over the last four years.

Most of the partners given permission to join their mates in Sweden are women and come from Thailand, Irak and Somalia.

Authorities predict a continued increase over the next few years.
