The public is "a bit curious about what he stands for today."

Possible Social Democrat leadership candidate Pär Nuder has once again ruled himself out of the party's leadership race.

Writing to the news agency TT, Nuder says: "I don't want to be a candidate, and won't stand. And the head of the nominating committee Berit Andnor, whom I've spoken to, knows that. She can confirm that I'm not in the running, and won't run."

Nuder's name as a possible new leader for the Social Democrats has been mentioned all weekend by people "in the know". This isn't the first time he has said he isn't interested in the leadership job, but former Prime Minister Göran Persson also said "no" countless times before taking over the party in the mid 90's.
