Equality ombudsman sacked
Sweden's much criticised Equality Ombudsman Katri Linna has been forced to leave her job.
Integration Minister Erik Ullenhag said that he wanted to have "stronger , more effective work against discrimination."
Katri Linna was appointed in 2008 to take charge of a new Equality Ombudsman which integrated all previous agencies that fought against discrimination on grounds of sex, transgender identity or expression, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation or age.
Katri Linna has been given a new job in mapping the discrimination suffered by Swedish Roma's during the 1900s.
