Wild animal road collisions increase
The number of road accidents in Sweden involving wild animals such as Elk went up in 2010.There were a little over 47,000 road accidents involving wild animals in 2010, a 42 percent increase during the last five years. The biggest risk of collision is in the county of Kronoberg. The accidents usually involve damage to vehicles and injure or kill the animal. However five people were killed last year after accidents involving an elk.
