South rocked by gale force winds
More than 35,000 homes in southern Sweden were without electricity on Tuesday morning following overnight storm damage.
Train services were also affected in Halland and Skåne counties with a complete stop on some lines because of fallen trees. The Öresund bridge between Sweden and Denmark was closed from midnight on Monday but reopened this morning with speed restrictions due to continuing high winds close to 25 metres per second.
A weather warning is in operation for the next 24 hours for southern Sweden and the southern half of the Baltic Sea.
