Eneroth tipped as Social Democrat front-runner

Tomas Eneroth

Swedish Television News says the current front-runner to take over as head of the Social Democrat party is 44 year old Tomas Eneroth.

Mona Sahlin announced her resignation as party leader after September’s election defeat. The party will choose her successor as leader of what has been this country’s dominating political force next month.

Several names have been discussed in the media as possible new leaders. Eneroth, who is the party’s spokesperson on business issues, describes himself as a classical Social Democrat who dislikes neo-liberalism.
