Oil has stopped leaking from an Icelandic ship which ran aground off the southern Norwegian coast. But Norwegian authorities are still struggling to contain hundreds of tons of leaked fuel from the cargo ship Godafoss, which became stuck on a rock late Thursday.

The leak threatens both Sweden's Kosterhavet national park and Norway’s Ytre Hvaler park, the two nations’ only marine parks.

The Swedish Coast Guard has sent an anti-pollution ship and a surveillance plane to help the Norwegian clean-up efforts.
