Foreign ministry urges Swedes to leave Libya

Published måndag 21 februari 2011 kl 19.23

The Swedish Foreign Ministry is advising against all travel to Libya and is urging Swedes "without a compelling reason to stay" to leave the country.

There are estimated to be between 30 - 40 Swedes permanetly residing in Libya although foreign ministry spokesman Anders Jörle told TT that they hadn't received any pressure from Swedes who need help to leave the country.

Ericsson has 50 employees at its offices in Libya but the majority are indigenous workers.
