Border officer charged with sex misconduct
A former border police officer has been charged with attempted sexual exploitation of asylum-seekers whose appeals for refugee status in Sweden had been rejected.
Investigators say the officer promised to place the files of female deportees at the bottom of his caseload if they would have sex with him. The charges arise from a complaint by an asylum-seeker.
The officer has earlier been convicted of drug crimes and had already been terminated by the border police.
