Mixed signals on economy
Analysts at Swedbank say they see a slowing in Sweden's relatively strong economic expansion during 2010. Economists say one consequence of what the bank calls “mixed cyclic signals” will be a complicated season of negotiations between employers and unions this year.
But at the same time, public confidence in the nation’s economy continued to improve modestly during the last month, according to a fresh survey by the National Institute of Economic Research. The institute’s combined barometer of corporate and household expectations, released Thursday, edged slightly upward over its January measurement.
