Libyan diplomat to Sweden opposes sanctions
Libya's deputy ambassador at the Stockholm embassy, Abdelmagid Buzrigh, is encouraging the international community to take responsibility against the blood spill in Libya, news agency reported late Friday evening.
But at the same time, Buzrigh warned against external interference. "Under no circumstances do we accept economic sanctions or military intervention," he wrote in the dispatch, "which would mean the exchange of a totalitarian dictator with repugnant occupation."
Earlier in the week, Buzrigh caved to demonstrators, who had been protesting outside of the embassy for days, and agreed to raise Libya's pre-coup "liberation" flag over the building.
