Swedish favorite fails downhill test
While Swedish skier Anja Pärson was the fastest in the time trials running up to the Alpine Ski World Cup downhill contest in Åre, Sweden, she skied out and failed to take home a medal in the race on Saturday.
"Right now, I am incredibly disappointed. I just want to break a bunch of things," Pärson told Swedish television.
Instead, the gold went to American Lindsey Vonn, the silver to Slovenia's Tina Maze and the bronze to German Maria Riesch.
