Swedish youth plan for their golden years
Many Swedish youth are already planning for their retirement. A new study from Ungdomsbarometern, which works to chart the attitudes, values and behaviors of youth, over half of the 11,000 young people surveyed say they want schools to teach more about the pension system.
About half of the survey group believe that getting a good pension is a responsibility that lies within themselves, according to newspaper Dagens Nyheter. The study also shows that six out of ten young people save money, and that 20 percent of 23-24-year-olds have retirement savings.
