Sweden is claiming part of the credit for Denmark's winning a Hollywood Oscar for best foreign film - with Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt playing the lead in the film "In a Better World."

Persbrandt plays a pacifistic Swedish doctor spending much of his time working in an African refugee camp - surrounded by violence both in that war-torn African country and at home involving his Danish family.

Accepting the award at the prestige-filled ceremony in Los Angeles for her film was Danish film director Sussane Bier.
