new investigation ordered

Toddler died as hospital missed swine flu

Published lördag 5 mars 2011 kl 11.18

Doctors at a hospital in the southern country of Halland missed that a two-year old patient was suffering from Swine flu, reports local newspaper Hallandsposten. The child died last week.

Head surgeon Göran Magyar tells the newspaper he does not think the miss affected the treatment given to the toddler, but has now ordered an investigation into the circumstances around the child's death.
