Swedish farmers say there will be a big shortage of Swedish lamb for the traditional Swedish Easter dinner table - with both fresh and frozen meat in short supply.

The Swedish butchers say they could have sold twice as much Swedish lamb as they have and that even if production has increased a few per cent each year - the consumers appetite has grown much faster.

Swedes consume almost 2 kilos a lamb a year – relying heavily on foreign imports .
