Forget about the stories of Lisbeth Salander and of the young vampire in "Let the right one in", there is a new Swedish literary sensation hitting the book shelves this week, and it's set to explode internationally too.

The first book in a new trilogy about a group of six teen witches in northern Sweden is already topping the charts here, and reviewers in the newspapers are lyrical. Add to that the fact that Hollywood is already showing an interest in making a film of the books, and you could have the recipe for a new Swedish bestseller.

The books are written by journalist Mats Strandberg together with script-writer Sara Bergmark Elfgren, who is slowly coming to terms with the media interest in the new book.

Seaking to Radio Sweden, she explains where they got the ideas for the book, why she thinks it has already become such a huge success, and what it feels like reading such gushing reviews.
