Sweden demands explanation from Venezuela
The Swedish Foreign Minostry has demanded an explanation as to why it was not informed by Venezuelan authorities that a 55-year old Swede had been arrested in the country, the news agency TT reports.
The man, who is suspected of financing the Farc-guerilla Colombia, was arrested in Venezuela on Saturday, and extradited to Colombia shortly after. The Swedish Foreign Minostry only found out about it two days later via media.
The man has lived in Sweden for 20 years and became a Swedish citizen in 1995. He denies the charges.
