Gripen dropped by India
The Gripen fighter plane has not advanced to the next level of negotiations with India, which is looking to buy 126 fighter planes.
The makers, Saab Aero, were given the news on Wednesday, the news agency TT reports. Still left in the negotiation process is the Eurofighter Typhoon and the French Dassaults Rafale.
Saab Aero's CEO Håkan Buskhe is disappointed, but he points out that the company offered a plane which is still being developed Gripen NG. "The others have finished products, that is the big difference. Our plane is more modern, but it is not completely finished yet," he told TT.
