Children's football team suspended

Published måndag 9 maj 2011 kl 10.32

A football team with 8-year-olds has been suspended for the rest of the spring season after several of the player’s parents threatened a 16-year-old referee.

The parents thought the referee had made the wrong decision and chased around after the match. When an older referee tried to step in and defend the 16-year-old he was also threatened.

“That’s when they threatened me. And the worst thing was they physically assaulted me. I have never seen anything like it in my 25 years as a referee,” Bujur Fetio, told newspaper Sydnytt
