In connection with a demonstration by the anti-immigrant Sweden Democrat youth league in Malmö this weekend, the police suspect 22 people of committing crimes while protesting the demonstration.

Their suspected crimes range from violence against civil servants to violent resistance and violent rioting.

In addition, the police took some 20 people into custody and forced 90-odd people to leave Malmö by bus.

Some 200 people took part in the demonstration itself, while the police effort to maintain safety and order cost around US $220,000.
